bluebot

BLUEbot is my latest (and greatest?) creation using the ever-famous basic stamp microcontroller. It is basically the same thing as the metalbot, only with an RS-232 interface and about 1/3 the size. The blue base is a radio shack project encasement thingie. It is powered by 4 AA batteries, and uses an L298 motor controller. It has two Cds cells (light level sensors) on the front, along with two 'whisker' switches. IR detection schematic is planned for the future using standard phototransistors. Any questions can be sent to destillman@yahoo.com If you are interested in the PBASIC source code, e-mail me.

The name BLUEbot came to me because, well, its blue. I am sure if I tried hard enough, that I could find an acronym for BLUE, but I will leave the creativity up to you :)
